In our industry it is vital for us to continue to strive for excellence and take on board any comments from our clients to help us remain effective and efficient on all our projects. Each project offers contractors the chance to win Not really an award as such, but more of a helping hand. Local to our Project Troy site is the St Lukes C of E school who needed a little bit of building help. Celtic monthly awards such as Operative of the Month or Health & Safety Award of the Month, this is where we will be keeping you updated with our achievements and general news.

July 2018 - Contractor of the Month - Apple

Congratulations to the Celtic team based on our Apple project with main construction managers ISG who recently won the Contractor of the Month award!

Celtic site foreman John was also issued the Green Card Monthly award recieving a voucher for his high standards to the ISG site rules and regulations

June 2018 - Considerate Constructors Scheme Report.

Celtic are pleased to announce that we achieved a 4 Star rating from the Considerate Contractors Scheme from our project office at Fenchurch Avenue.
QSHE Manager Florin Constantin Cristat was over the moon with the result and gave additional praise the the newly designed A0 sized site office poster while complimenting the whole team in general. Well done to Ray, Domingos and Steve on this outstanding achievement.

May 2018 - St Lukes Church of England School.

Not really an award as such, but more of a helping hand. Local to our Project Troy site is the St Lukes C of E school who needed a little bit of building help. Celtic provided the labour, materials and assistance to give the school the changes it needed.

January 2018 - Health & Safety award for - Regeneron.

Well done to Costel Babuscu and Gheorgie Slevoaca who were recently awarded the Health & Safety award for January 2018 by Como's Steve Bird on our Regeneron Project.

October 2017 - Contractor of the Month -

Celtic Contractors recently won the Trade Contractor of the Month award on our Asos Project in Watford. The certificate was presented to Celtic Site Manager Elidon Pepaj and his site team who adhere to the strict guidelines for site safety and having a constant positive attitude!

July 2017 - Contractor of the Month -

Celtic Contractors are pleased to share the news that we recently won the Trade Contractor of the Month award on our Asos Project in Watford. The certificate was presented to Celtic Site Manager Elidon Pepaj. Congratulations to all the team on this project.

March 2017 - Health & Safety Contractor of the Month.

A huge well done to our site team based on the Adobe project . They recently topped the Health & Safety League which is managed by Como to secure the award for March! Z. Jurkonis, V. Jurkonis and A. Aranauskas, each won £25 Screw Fix vouchers.

March 2017 - Contractor of the Month - Bank Street

Congratulations to our site team based on our Deutsche Bank Project who were pleased to be awarded with the Contractor of the Month award. This is the 5th time that Celtic have excelled on this particular project and securing the award for the 5th time is a testiment to our dedicated team.

November 2016 - Operative of the Month - Bartlomiej Kaminski

Congratulations to Bartlomiej who was recently awarded the Operative of the Month for November on our Barclays Memphis project for Como.


October 2016 - Contractor of the Month - Hanover Square

Celtic are pleased to report that we recently won the Contractor of the Month award on our Hanover Square project. Amie Westlake of Como is shown here presenting us with the award!

October 2016 - Ealing Golf Club - Hole in One!

Congratulations to our very own Managing Director Mr John Whyte Senior who for the first time in his golf career played the perfect shot and got a hole-in-one! It came on a match play game on the 9th hole at Ealing Golf Club. It was John's first and only hole in one! Many congratulations John.

October 2016 - Health & Safety Operative - Genc Gjeka

Well done to Celtic Project Manager Genc Gjeka who was recently presented with the Operative of the month award on our Overybury project for Microsoft.


Overbury Construction Mananger John Thornton praised Genc for his good attitude and positive responce to any site issues! John was pleased to award Genc a £50 Amazon voucher for his outstanding work.

Sept 2016 - Health & Safety Operative - Laimutis Zabita

Congratulations to Laimutis Zabita won a gold metal and became operative of the month at Cannon Bridge House for his contribution to Health & Safety on site! The LendLease team awarded him with a £100 Amazon voucher aswell as a nice medal! Well done Laimutis.

August 2016 - Health & Safety Team Award - HATRICK!

Celtic Contractors are pleased to report that out site team based on our Deutsche Bank project have won the Health and Safety award for the third consecutive month. An amanzing achievement for the team and keep up the great work!

July 2016 - Considerate Construction Scheme Report

Congratulations to Celtic Project Manager Steve Strougler as his project site office on our Deutsche Bank project recently passed the Considerate Construction Monitor Report. Steve managed to score an impressive 37/50 and was issued a report which was full of praise.


"Following the meeting held at the head office it can be clearly seen that the Company can impress also ‘out in the field’. The level of compliance achieved is very good & in some cases exceeds that category!"

June 2016 - Health & Safety Award - Invesco

Congratulations to Celtic ceiling installer Ion Iancu, he won a Lenovo Tablet worth £50 which was presented to him by Como Project Manager Ludwig Ehlres.

April 2016 - Performance Beyond Compliance Award

Celtic are pleased to announce that we have achieved more high standards after being assessed by Chief Executive Edward Hardy.

March 2016 - Contractor of the Month at Deutsche Bank

Celtic Contractors were awarded the Contractor of the Month on our Deutsche Bank project. The award was presented to our Project Manager Steve Stroulger with his assistant Darek. The trophy itself is quite impressive so for our team to win the award is fantastic! Well Done.


March 2016 - Safe Operative of the Month at Broadgate

Andrie Ciumacenc was been awarded an M&S voucher for being the safe operative of the month for March on our Broadgate project. He was presented the award by our own site manager Linas Zabita. Well Done Andrie.


March 2016 - Health & Safety Award at JP Morgan.

Richard Walsh of Como was pleased to announce that Celtic had won the Health & Safety Award for March.


"These guys demonstrated extreme vigilance during the Window works within the Atrium area, working in a new environment on new equipment.  Their approach to ensuring those around them were safe by use of barriers and marshalling was a credit to you as their Manager and themselves."

July 2015 - Celtic Offer Work Experience Place

Taylor Tumbridge, currently aged 16, attends Carshalton Boys Sports College has been working for us for two weeks at head office this month. He has shown a great interest in his work and completed all tasks set by the team at Celtic H.Q. Taylor has a great sense of humour and fitted in well with the team at head office.

June 2015 - Contractor of the Month - Project Go

Congratulations to Celtic Operative Rimas Lescinskas who was recently awarded the Contractor of the Month Award on our Project Go site. He was selected from a group of four by Jason Davies of bwi interiors.

April 2015 - Considerate Constructors Scheme


Celtic are proud to announce that our company has been approved and we are now members of the Considerate Constructors Scheme with effect from 15/04/2015. Congratulations to everyone at Celtic who was involved and a special mention to Florin Constantin Cristat and Alasdair Gray who worked extremely hard to earn us this fantastic achievement.

February 2015 - Health & Safety Award: Overbury

Great news for Celtic as we scoop  the Health & Safety Award on Project  Amlin/Casa. Overbury Project Manager Scott Melloy was pleased to present the award to Andrius Aranauskas and Zilvinas Jurkonis who won for their good attitude towards Health & Safety on site.

February 2015 - Site Safety Award: MACE

Congratulations to Celtic Site Operative Chris Kominski who won the Site Safety Award on our Sky Health and Fitness Centre project. Chris was presented the award from Project Director Steve Clapperton and Contstruction Director Olly Clarke. His polite attitude, quality of work and Health & Safety Compliance was noticed by MACE who confirmed the award was very well deserved!


January 2015 - Employee Of The Month: Como

Celtic Project Manager Graham Shadbolt became the first Manager to win an award in 2015. Based on our Ernst & Young project at 25 Churchill Place, Graham's outstanding contribution to the project was recognised by Como who awarded him with the Operative of the Month Certificate for January and £50 of John Lewis Vouchers.

December 2014 - Health & Safety Operative: Overbury

Congratulations to Celtic Operative Billy Douglas who was recently awarded Overbury's Health & Safety Award on our project at the Leadenhall Building for Decemember 2014.

September 2014 - Dedicated to detail : ISG

Congratulations to the Celtic site team based on our Ares Management Project who recently won the Dedicated to detail award for achieving 'Excellent Quality' in the Ceilings package. Well done to all our staff who have helped with this project.

July 2014 - Employment Skills - MACE

In early July Celtic were invited by Max Petrucci, Employment Skills Manager for MACE to attend a presentation at SKY Isleworth regarding an initiative scheme aimed at offering potential employment to local residents who have been long term unemployed. A selection process took place and from 50 applicants 12 were selected for placement with Trade Contractors.

Celtic were particularly keen to provide a realistic experience at the work place to give the best possible insight into what a career in dry lining entails. Subsequently the two applicants were incorporated into existing teams out on site, whose brief was to provide technical advice and instruction coupled with the opportunity for controlled and measured scope for hands on training.

The remaining applicant, Richard Banks made an early impression. His positive attitude, willingness to learn and ask relevant questions, time keeping and ability to carry out his duties in accordance with the very high standard of Health & Safety impressed everyone.

Subsequently, at the awards ceremony jointly organised by MACE and SKY, Celtic announced that an offer of employment would be made to Richard. This offer was duly accepted and Richard  commenced his employment and further training on Monday 18th August 2014. A commitment has been made by Celtic to afford Richard the time to train and develop further, in order for him to make the most of this opportunity.

All in all a good outcome from a very worthwhile scheme.

July 2014 - Health & Safety Award - Sky

Congratulations to Project Manager Graham Shadbolt and his site team who have been selected as the outstanding team for their commitment to Health & Safety. A great start to a fantastic job. Congratulations to all involved at Sky.


June 2014 - Dedicated to Detail Award

Celtic are proud to announce that we was recently awarded the Dedicated to Detail award from ISG We have been installing both the ceilings and partitioning for our client and this certificate was presented to us for achieving excellent quality in both.


April 2014 - Employee of the Month Award - Ascot

Congratulations to Celtic employee Andrew Sienko won the Employee of the Month award on our Ascot project. Darren O'Brien (left) of Overbury presented him with a £50 House of Fraser voucher after the directors meeting this afternoon with the whole site present. Well done Andrew.


March 2014 - Contractor of the Month Award - Ascot

Big congratulations to Celtic Project Manager Graham Shadbolt who won the Health & Safety Contractor of the Month award on our Deutsche Bank Project. Graham was presented with a bottle of champagne and £50 by Bob Cooper of Como.


February 2014 - Operative of the Month - 125 London Wall

Congratulations to Celtic Site Operative Kuplis Normunds who was recently awarded the Operative of the Month award on our 125 London Wall project. His outstanding attitude has been noticed by main contractor Como who awarded him with £40 of Marks and Spencers Vouchers.

A massive well done to Tony Hepworth who is based at our 125 London Wall project who picked up the Health & Safety award for a third time on this project. A superb achievement for Tony and his team. Well done.

Congratulations to Andrew Sienko who won the Employee Of The Month award for December at our Vanguard Project on Cannon Street. His outstanding quantity & quality of work he produced over the Christmas period while maintaining a good level of housekeeping was enough to convince Graham Holland & Lee Phillips to hand him the £25 Marks & Spensor Voucher. Well done Andrew.

November 2013 - Health & Safety Award. 125 London Wall

Como recently awarded Celtic the Health and Safety Award of the Month for the second time on this project. Tony Hepworth has been instrumental in making sure his site team adhere to the high safety standards set by Como. Well done once again Tony.

November 2013 - Contractor of the Month - Vanguard

Overbury awarded Celtic the award for our pro active attitude and being a key player in driving the project forward and working safely at all times. Award from Lee Phillips and Graham Holland on behalf of the Overbury site team. Well done to all involved.


August 2013 - Contractor of the Month - Dealogic

Kalyan Garara, Construction manager of Overbury presented the Celtic team on site with the Contractor of the Month for August award and then took them out for breakfast to thank them for their outstanding start / performance thus far on the project. July 2013 - Site Safety Award- JPMC - London Wall.

Congratulations to Tony Hepworth our Contracts Manager on our London Wall project who was recently awarded the Site Safety Award for topping the league in July. Tony thanked his site team who have worked hard to uphold Como's high standards of Safety.
